The Brief

Handcrafted Kitchens (HK), a high-quality bespoke kitchen design company based in Cheshire, approached us to support them with improving their branding, website and ultimately increasing sales through a robust online strategy.

Working within such a competitive sector meant that the marketing campaign we put in place had to be fluid, whilst always focused around a core brand message. The objective of this strategy was to maximise budget spend most effectively by pushing it into areas that would establish significant traction, whilst being underpinned by a robust SEO campaign.

The Work

Website design and development were undertaken, moving the existing website from Umbraco to WordPress. This was done to improve performance and enable ongoing management to support the PPC and SEO activity. The website upgrade also brought monthly efficiencies to maintenance costs in terms of security management and website updates.

The design refresh was centred around the core three brand messages; 'lifestyle’, ‘family’ and ‘the kitchen is the heart of your home’. The photography used multiple locations to showcase the kitchens, allowing customers to imagine themselves in a HK kitchen.

The website was restructured to ensure it was fully optimised and all current and future content was aligned with the keyword map/research undertaken. High-quality outreach and link building have increased the site's trustworthiness with Google, ultimately increasing ranking, driving traffic and bringing conversions.

The Effect

A combination of the new high-end website and a well targeted SEO campaign had a profound effect on Handcrafted Kitchens. Within months of the campaign starting numerous high-value keywords were ranking on page one of Google and Bing, many coming straight in at number 1, increasing new website enquiries. The new website gave potential customers an immediate trust in the brand, supported by the fact they were ranking highly in Google, again reinforcing consumer confidence.
