The Brief

Our solid reputation as leaders in science marketing led to us being approached by genetic toxicology specialists, Gentronix. They were looking for support to advance their business growth plans alongside a brand refresh to reflect their developing multi-service offerings.

As a long-established company needing to manage a change in service focus and the desire to have a whole-company approach to their rebrand, this would require a well-planned strategic, digital and creative plan, carefully administered to critical deadlines.

The Work

Throughout this process, the whole-team approach was maintained, with the feedback of all staff members alongside key stakeholders playing an essential role in the formation of the project.

We started by running two brand workshops, which were designed to generate a whole-team picture of the company’s current identity and future aims. By using our end to end process, we were able to develop a core proposition and optimised communication strategy. This created a foundation for the brand identity from which we built in both the digital and creative streams.

Having established the brand basics, from strapline, colour palette, primary font, logo through to overall brand communication style, the creative and digital elements could then move into full development.

Bespoke website design and build took centre stage around which all other elements revolve. Incorporating SEO, migration and content development, this process ran concurrently with the creative aspects, including photography, graphic design and creation of collateral, signage, wall art and stationery.

The Effect

Following the success of the brand refresh and website launch, we have now activated phase two of the Gentronix strategy, including elements such as exhibition support and stands, print marketing collateral, PPC strategy and campaign implementation. The SEO campaign continues to deliver an uplift in relevant visitors, resulting in enquiries and has had a direct positive impact on the conversion pipeline.

With refreshing our brand image, digital presence and marketing being such key drivers for building on the growth in our business, it was important that we selected a partner who had a track record of delivering innovative and commercially accessible designs. As a specialist CRO, it was so important to work with a design team that was able to understand our ambition and convey our message clearly on a digital platform. Stuart and the team at Zool were great, delivering a professional looking brand, website and supporting materials that have given our business a lift. We’ve had positive comments from both clients & competitors following launch, and we continue to see an uplift in enquiries as a result. We look forward to the further success working with Zool on our SEO and additional marketing campaigns will bring
