  • Google is simplifying the way it classifies pages, items, and issues in Google Search Console to try and resolve confusion around issues when they are applied to a URL or an item by changing the report format.   • Microsoft is testing out a new retail marketplace in the US, called “Buy Direct” which some believe is intended to compete with Google Shopping. Early users have said that it is more tailored towards user preferences, so you can exclude things from your search.
  • Google, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and others have agreed to a new set of EU legislative rules that encourages them to take more responsibility for their content and reduce abuse. What it boils down to is that the onus is now on these large companies to stop the spread of propaganda and fake news by adding easier ways for their users to report abuse or spam, penalizing sites and transparency for political advertising.
